Novecento

Back in September 2022, with MidJourney V3, I embarked on an ambitious challenge: illustrating Novecento, the theatrical monologue by Alessandro Baricco, which has been my favorite book for years.

At that time, AI-generated imagery was still in its early stages, and maintaining style consistency across multiple illustrations was incredibly challenging. Despite the limitations of the tools available, I managed to create a coherent visual narrative, capturing the unique atmosphere of the story through 18 AI-generated illustrations.

This project was more than just an artistic experiment—it was one of my first major AI illustration works, created at a time when the technology was still evolving. It pushed the boundaries of AI-assisted storytelling, demonstrating how even early AI tools could be used to craft a unified and immersive visual experience.

Looking back, this project was a milestone in my AI journey. It proved that even in the early days of AI-generated art, style consistency, emotional depth, and storytelling could be achieved with dedication and experimentation.
