Life isn’t about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself.
The origins
Before moving to Lugano, where I currently live, I grew up in the bronx of the Milanese suburbs. As a teenager, I started reading a lot—Asimov, Tolkien, Ende. My passion for literature is almost equally divided by my love for art, fueled by the books my father—a typographer—brought home every week.
Alongside art and literature, I soon developed a passion for computer science, which led me to start my career in a software house as an IT consultant while simultaneously training as a graphic designer and web designer. I then worked in these fields, first as an employee and later as a freelancer, both in Italy and Switzerland. In parallel, I developed and managed a Japanese crafts e-commerce for six years as a personal project.
I studied Graphic Design at NAD in Verona, Photography at FORMA in Milan, and Web Design & Animation at SUPSI, the University of Lugano. Over time, I also deepened my knowledge of 2D motion and collage design.
The Turning Point
In July 2022, I started using the text2image AI Midjourney at the dawn of the AI revolution. I translated the official guide into Italian twice (for versions V3 and V5), and from that moment, I realized there would be a before and after in the creative world—a paradigm shift, much like what happened in IT with the arrival of the 2000s.
At that point, I felt a strong desire and determination to reshape my career, investing countless hours into studying creative AI. Since then, I have been exploring, testing, and experimenting non-stop—and the journey is far from over. Every day, there’s something new to discover, something to learn.
Integrating AI into My Creative Process
Today, nearly three years later, I have fully integrated AI into my workflow and want to continue collaborating with filmmakers, writers, and authors to create images and videos using AI. The experience I have gained over the years working with Photoshop has played a crucial role in this process. Right now, I believe that starting with a high-quality image for video creation (img2video) is essential.
I firmly believe that AI doesn’t replace creativity—it amplifies it.
And when there’s time left…
I volunteer at a library and collaborate with various publishing houses to evaluate graphic novels and novels. As a personal project, I illustrated Novecento by Baricco using Midjourney in September 2022—it’s my favorite book.
I play with a VR, but not everything—some things scare me. I loved D&D, WoW, and Magic (I still have my red land-crushing deck). I paint with watercolors, and I also make collages in an analog way too.
That’s all.
Or almost.
